This introductory It also provides training on reeling in your catch and properly handling the catfish to ensure it is returned to the water with minimal stress.
OWA's 2026 Intro to Channel Catfishing event includes an educational session on setting up and using appropriate catfishing gear. Experienced anglers teach other female anglers how to use the proper fishing gear, and the techniques of how to reel in and release a Channel Catfish back into the water alive.
