Chris McCoy

Born and raised at the headwaters of the Nottawasaga, Credit and Grand Rivers, Chris found her passion in angling when her 10 year old son wanted to learn how to fish. After attending a family fishing event, Chris was "hooked" for life. A passion which has grown to include fly fishing, ice fishing and even electro fishing.

Chris graduated from Seneca College on the Dean's honour roll from the Recreation-Parks operations and services program, majoring in fish and wildlife biology. She has instructed private groups on the upper Grand River in fly fishing, on the ice of Island Lake during "hard water season" and enjoys sharing her passion with other women, children and men alike.

As a fourth generation florist, Chris is a girly girl through and through but isn't afraid to get her hands slimy. Her favourite fish to target is small mouth bass from a kayak, pound for pound the best fight and a great ride!
